GMAT Focus — adaptive pacing and review
Question-adaptive, with review and edit allowed. Plan for 2 minutes per question and keep a buffer for edits.
The GMAT Focus Edition has three 45-minute sections (Quantitative, Verbal, Data Insights). You choose the order, and you can review and change up to 3 answers per section.
- Pacing: about 2 minutes per question in Quant and Verbal, and about 2.25 minutes in DI. Keep 3–4 minutes at the end for the review screen.
- Unanswered questions are penalised more heavily than wrong ones. Finish every section.
- Data sufficiency: use the AD/BCE grid (see the DS guide).
- Critical reasoning: separate the evidence from the conclusion, then look for the assumption that links them. Weakeners attack that link.
